Many friends of the Galan Family have expressed a desire to help Ben's children in their time of need. And while it has taken a while to understand just exactly the best way for kind souls to help, we've determined that contributions to Ben's childrens post-secondary education is the best way to ensure each has the ability, along with student loans and other traditional assistance, to make their way to college.. GALAN, Benjamin Brian, passed away Friday, March 18, 2011 at the age of 46. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Shelly; and four children, Matthew, Samantha, Noah and Savannah. He will also be greatly missed by his mother, Mary E. Galan; and brother, Dan Galan; sisters, Susan Galan Rubis, Melinda Galan Wallace and Jennifer Galan Vithoulkas. Sincere thanks to our friends at Pete Rose Inc. and Patient First and for everyone else's support, prayers and offers of assistance. Memorial services will be held at the Chesterfield Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Homes at 14301 Ashbrook Parkway, Chesterfield, Va. 23832, on Sunday at 5 p.m. Everyone who knew Ben can agree he was the "Gentle Giant." Strong, kind and loving. May God bless his soul.
